MDREN began hosting Tech Days in the fall of 2023. The goal was to bring together network engineers and other technology professionals from around the state for face-to-face discussions on technical topics of interest, crowdsourced from the network engineering community. The meetings are held twice each year and hosted by an MDREN member campus. The next Tech Day will be held at Anne Arundel Community College on November 5th. Tech Day 6 will focus on:

· Enhancing Campus Connectivity with Passpoint Technology – utilizing your Wi-Fi network to provide cell phone coverage across your campus to support public safety and teaching.

· Leveraging Optimization Flow Analytics: A Data-Driven Approach to Network Management – digging into your network data traffic to detect problems and enhance performance.

· Discussion: Re-examining firewall designs, developing an RFI to find new, efficient, effective, and more economical options.

· Open discussion of your challenges and projects. Light breakfast and lunch provided. You can still register at Tech Day  6 .
