Tech Day 5 – Another Successful Mini Conference

MDREN held another successful Tech Day. The June meeting occurred at the Universities at Shady Grove on June 11th. Sessions included discussing implementing a zero-trust network and adding AI enhancements to your network. Both sessions offered practical strategies and implementation best practices. Special thanks to the Shady Grove IT team and conference services department for hosting the meeting, and our presenters:

Moving to a zero-trust network – Mark Addy (UMCP), Ray Soellner (UMBC), Tom Gentile USNA), and Ken Rich (HP-Aruba)

Introducing AI to your Network – Bill Wiltrout (FSU) and Brad Bothun (MDREN)

There were also updates from Tech Day 4 presentations, including migrating from VMWare to MS-Hyper-V, the MDREN Engineering Committee performance survey, and the MDREN network upgrade projects.  We are already planning Tech Day 6.  It will likely take place in late October or early November.  More information will be made available soon.
